Our records show that you have previously received communications relating to the annual European Cobra Meetings. The first European Cobra Meeting took place in 2009, and was so warmly received that it has since become a popular annual event. It has been hosted in Austria (2009), France (2010 and 2014), Slovenia (2011), the Netherlands (2012), Germany (2013), and Spain (2015). It attracts Cobra replicas (typically 60 to 80) from all over Europe, plus the occasional GT40!
We are pleased to announce that, by popular demand, the eighth meeting will be hosted in the UK.
The 2016 event will be based at the Sinah Warren hotel on Hayling Island in Hampshire, a 20 minute drive from Portsmouth. We have negotiated a special three night (Friday to Sunday) package price of £229 (approx. €320) per person for a double/twin room including bed, breakfast, and dinner with wine and entertainment. A limited number of single rooms will also be available at the same rate. Please note that the hotel specialises in short breaks for adults, and all guests must be over 21 years of age.
As accommodation at this discounted rate is limited, the rooms will be made available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, and can be reserved with a deposit of just £30 (approx. €42) per person. We anticipate increased demand from the large UK Cobra community this year, so we recommend that you book your accommodation early to avoid disappointment.
Regular newsletters will be produced as the various activities and tours are finalised. We are planning a historic motorsport theme and have, in particular, been in contact with both Goodwood House and Goodwood Racing Circuit. Further details will be provided in the December newsletter.
